The water from our showers, basins, kitchen and all ‘grey’ water flows into separate holding tanks on the property where we add water from the irrigation scheme and use it to irrigate our lawns and gardens. When the lodge is in full occupancy we can save as much as 20-30 000 liters a day in a region where water is very precious.

We have installed all new Inverter system air conditioners throughout the property which reduces power consumption by as much as 30%.

We have installed industrial heat pumps that feed all the rooms this saves as much as 60% on electricity, compared to using separate geysers in all rooms.

All kitchen scraps and food left discarded by clients is given to a local pig farmer daily.
